Dear Mr. Blue and the Hunter’s Creek Team,
On behalf of my family and I, we would like to convey our heartfelt thanks for the great care the Hunter’s Creek clinical team provided to my mother, Sabina Johnson, during her stay at the center. Mom peacefully passed after a longstanding medical decline (age 92) on 12/11/20 while residing on the Key West unit.
Throughout her stay at the Hunter’s Creek center, the care and attention provided to her was of the highest standard! The entire facility staff consistently provided superb professional care to our mom. Staff were always available to answer our questions and would initiate contact directly with us anytime there was a change in her status. In fact, the entre center was impeccably well-organized, pristine, and well-managed from the entry foyer through our excursions within the center. The overall atmosphere and culture of the center clearly was that of a facility team’s commitment to the highest level of person-centered care possible. And we were privileged to have our mom benefit from this process!
As you may be aware, many members of my family work in the long-term care business. As such, please understand that we consider ourselves privileged to have been cared for by your exceptional team and Hunter’s Creek. We were continually amazed at the caring attitude and performance of the team members whom we were fortunate to have interacted with. Your organization and the Hunter’s Creek team should be proud of the success you have achieved in your mission of “caring” for people. We sincerely appreciate all you have done for us!
Please note in particular the following Hunter’s Creek staff members whom we have been so impressed with: All the direct care staff and nursing staff on the Key West unit, particularly nurses Vanessa and Erin for the continual “hands-on” care of mom; Chris Dawkins, the social worker who was extremely caring, highly informative, and so very supportive to us during mom’s stay; all of the nursing and direct care staff on the other unites as we frequently interacted with them traversing their respective units; Bernadette the Nursing Director for her clinical oversight; the rehabilitation staff in their entirety for their creative-motivational efforts with mom; the activities staff, especially Ermaury, who so effectively managed our visitation during these challenging times; Nelly and Jade for continually answering the phone calls we made to the center, coordinating our visits and managing mom’s account during her stay; and of course the housekeeping, laundry and dietary staff or their person-centered accommodations of our mom.
My family and I greatly appreciate the opportunity you provided for us to take care of our mom so well in her final year. We wish you all at Hunter’s Creek a blessed and Happy New Year filled with success and prosperity! From the depths of our hearts, thank you so much for your care of our mom!
